seriously, i'm amazed at what people will wear when they go out. usually they all find their way to walmart and there have been many occassions (even before this) where i've wanted to take a discrete picture and laugh at it. this website provides hours of fun and laughter :D here's some samples:

arctic_grey   was completely right when she said it was too hard to pick a quote from oscar wilde so i'm gonna put up my favorite quote from one of my favorite movies. this is from dwayne in "Little Miss Sunshine" when he finally starts talking :D (if you've seen it you know what i mean)

"You know what? Fuck beauty contests. Life is one fucking beauty contest after another. School, then college, then work... Fuck that. And fuck the Air Force Academy. If I want to fly, I'll find a way to fly. You do what you love, and fuck the rest."

Obviously not everyone wants to go to the air force academy but see the bigger picture here! This line always hits really close to home for me, the whole movie really. I think through all the disfunctionality it just goes to show that the people who love you are going to love you no matter how much of a loser, a nutcase, an outcast, or a failure you may be (and lets be honest, we all have a little bit of that in us).

so thanks to my inability to commit properly and a hectic day, i totally skipped putting up yesterday's post plus by the time i had a chance i was just too tired to turn the computer on. therefore, i shall post yesterday's and today's rait nao!

For the book, I'm gonna go ahead and recommend two books that I am currently reading. I haven't finished them so I can't say they're masterpieces from my own thoughts but so far they are incredible and one has gotten great reviews (reason why I started reading it) and the other is a classic (that i have to read for my lit class but am enjoying nonetheless) so onto the books!

Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte 

       This is a story about a girl who grows up basically orphaned but having to put up with a horrible aunt who sends her to a too strict school. Her determination and passion, however, get her out of there and into a house where she works as a governess (the equivalent of a live in teacher) and starts falling in love with the master of the house. 

The language is a bit harder than if you were reading something contemporary but, personally, i think its part of the charm of the book. I highly recommend it.

Let The Right One In by John Ajvide Lindqvist 

I had first heard about the movie that was based on this book and how incredible it was. It is basically a vampire book without all the shiteousness that is Twilight. It revolves around a few different characters whose lives cross every now and then but all have some sort of contact with this girl who happens to be a vampire (oh and her name is Eli like me!!) it also has some elements of violence (vampire book duh!) and pedophilia which make it that much more disturbing. :D again, highly recommend it.

hm...as for a recommended site.

Tumblr!! tumblr is basically a blog site (where william beckett's, pete wentz's, and until recently, panic at the disco's blogs were hosted) but its so much more than that!! I don't know how to describe it but I know it take hours and hours of my day. You can find pictures, videos, songs, and just fun and funny stuff in general. :D i recommend everyone get their very own tumblr immediately! (mine is here but i must warn, it is heavily saturated with pictures of zachary quinto, milo ventimiglia, and other hot men and the occasional video or song XD!)

so yeah that's about it.

in other new, i've been really inspired to write recently so maybe i'll type something up sooner or later. :D (no promises though)

This was my view from the room in my friend's house Germany where I stayed for about a week or so. It was probably the best time I had while I was in Europe and I miss him and his family a lot. They were the nicest people and they helped me not be so homesick :D I don't know what else to say, it's pretty self-explanatory after what I have said. :D

hm...for a song i'm tied between two but i'll go with the most recent one which is *drum roll*  "Lasso" by Phoenix.

I'm on the biggest Phoenix kick and their new album really is a great thing that just keeps getting better as you listen to it louder and louder. 

I was driving home from school one day listening to it and i had a moment. I was listening to another song on it not paying to much attention when suddenly i caught something and my eyes went O_O. I turned it way up and restarted the song and it was like i had put in a completely different album than what i had been listening to. There are a lot of subtleties in the music that you just have to listen to it at loud volumes to get the full effect and it leaves you with a lovely ethereal feeling. 

so yeah go listen to it and the whole album for that matter....repeatedly :D

1. My best friend took me to watch Taking Back Sunday perform last friday :D I can die happy now
2. I got some of the clothes I'm taking to Europe in the mail. Less than a week away!!!
3. Classes ended last week and my comm professor read us The Giving Tree <33 awwwwww
4. I was one of three people (the only girl) in my art class to get an A as a final grade!! wooooo!!!
5. I got finished studying for psychology just now and I'm so ready for the final! :D
6. The weather was just fantabulous yesterday! It was cloudy and cool and a bit rainy <3 if only this city's stupid people knew how to drive in it
7. The boy I'm crushing on called me beautiful, gorgeous, and pretty while sitting extremely close to me
8. My friends and I are going to watch a potentially craptacular movie this Friday in honor of my b-day next Monday and we're totally getting pancakes afterwards! wooooo!!
